Dr. Hills established the Tracheostomy Care Program at New York Presbyterian’s Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
Along with a team of physician assistants, nurses, resident physicians and medical assistants, Dr. Hills is committed to providing the very best care possible for some of the most medically complex children in the hospital - those requiring a tracheostomy tube to breathe.
The Tracheostomy Care Program was created to enhance care for tracheostomy patients and their families in several ways. The team provides support and education to the families of tracheostomy patients while they are in the hospital. The program also serves as a bridge for tracheostomy patients and their families as they transition from hospital to home.
In the outpatient setting, Dr. Hills runs the Multidisciplinary Tracheostomy Care Clinic, where a team of doctors, residents, and speech and language pathologists provides patients and families with coordinated long-term care for their tracheotomy, breathing, and swallowing concerns.
